UWorld Grants $150,000 to Texas Non-Profit Organizations to Invest in Local Educational Programs
The UWorld Cares grants will support advancement in middle and high school education, STEM initiatives, and financial literacy
DALLAS (May 16, 2023) – UWorld, a leading provider of online learning tools for high-stakes exams, today awarded $150,000 in grants to 10 non-profit organizations in North Texas to uplift local communities through educational advancement. The annual grants are administered through UWorld Cares, a company-wide commitment to drive success in education by investing in the communities it serves. The funding will support organizations offering programs focused on middle and high school education, STEM, and financial literacy for underserved and underrepresented students.
Each of the grant winners receive funding to supplement and improve their afterschool programming, entrepreneurial programs, STEM education, financial literacy, and philanthropic objectives. Winners include the following:

- Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas
- Communities In Schools of the Dallas Region
- Communities In Schools of Greater Tarrant County
- Dallas Afterschool
- Education Opens Doors
- Girls Inc. of Metropolitan Dallas
- Junior Achievement of the Chisholm Trail
- Junior Achievement of Dallas
- Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship

UWorld Cares funding focuses on partnering with community organizations to expand and improve educational programs, such as creating a stronger pathway to higher education, addressing skills gaps in the workforce, and removing barriers to higher education. This initiative extends the company’s previous philanthropic efforts by focusing on three pillars of charitable giving: community grants, employee giving, and employee volunteerism.
Since 2020, UWorld has granted more than $5.6 million in product scholarships to aspiring accountants, lawyers, and graduate school students; as well as donating more than $5 million in renewed access and subscription extensions for users affected by COVID-19 exam delays and the Ukraine war.
In 2022, employee donations and matching gifts from UWorld Cares totaled $50,000 in giving to more than 70 organizations across the country. Employees also participated in campaigns in response to events happening around the world. UWorld provided more than $180,000 in product scholarships to Ukraine citizens, and UWorld employees donated more than $10,000 to support humanitarian efforts. More recently, employees donated over $7,000 (which UWorld matched) to recovery and humanitarian efforts following the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria.
