The company adds to more than $7 million in donations with a new program focused on fostering partnerships to advance educational initiatives
DALLAS (January 5, 2022) – UWorld, a leading provider of online learning tools for high-stakes exams, today launched UWorld Cares, a company-wide commitment to drive success in education by investing in the communities it serves. This initiative extends the company’s previous philanthropic efforts by focusing on three pillars of charitable giving: community grants, employee giving, and employee volunteerism.
UWorld Cares funding will focus on partnering with community organizations to advance educational programs, such as creating a stronger pathway to higher education, addressing skills gaps in the workforce, and removing barriers to higher education. UWorld is accepting grant applications between January 1 and March 31, 2022, from Texas-based 501(c)(3) organizations located in Collin, Dallas, Denton, and Tarrant counties in the following areas:
- K-12 education;
- STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math); and
- Financial literacy programs.
Requests up to $25,000 will be considered for approval and must be submitted through the UWorld Cares online portal. Organizations will be notified in April if their request has been approved. In addition, UWorld Cares will continue to accept scholarship applications for exam prep products and resources for the bar, Level 1 Certified Financial Accountant (CFA®) exam, and the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Exam throughout the year.

In 2020, UWorld has granted more than $2 million in product scholarships to aspiring accountants, lawyers, and graduate school students; as well as donating more than $5 million in renewed access and subscription extensions for users affected by COVID-19 exam delays.
Approximately 25% of UWorld employees serve on the front line of the fight against COVID-19 as doctors, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists. In addition, they have extended their commitment to service through employee giving, donating to food banks, and hosting blood drives in response to the nationwide blood shortage.
